Optical
Subassemblies manufactures low volume
optical
assemblies for clients in the United States and Canada. The
majority
of the assemblies are designs which we have produced, however companies
are finding that we provide a cost-effective source of expertise in the
area of optical manufacturing.
Documentation is critical
to
any manufacturing process, be it high or low volume. Optical
Subassemblies
produces detailed assembly and test instructions for all products which
we manufacture. Each component is part numbered and entered into
a bill of materials. We have chosen Parts and VendorsTM
to maintain bills of material as well as to keep track of costs and
inventory.
All drawings are archived on tape backup and on CD ROM once a project
is
completed.
The coupling of skilled
assemblers
and design engineers under one roof provides a mechanism for the rapid
resolution of manufacturing problems.
Products which we produce on a contract basis include: microscope lenses, custom CCD cameras with integral illuminators, X-Y translators and special purpose camera lenses.
